Jail - Music Review

Cast :: Neil Nitin Mukesh, Mugdha Godse, Manoj Bajpai, Arya Babbar, Chetan Pandit, Ghanshyam Garg, Rahul Singh.

After the realistic look on the "Fashion" industry, Madhur Bhandarkar is all set to provide the audience a peek into the realities of prison, with his upcoming drama flick "Jail". With a star cast boasting of names like Neil Nitin Mukesh and Mugdha Godse in the main leads and Manoj Bajpai and Ashish Sharma in the supporting cast, the movie is all set to hit the theaters on November 6, 2009. It has been produced by Shailendra Singh and will come out under the banners "Percept Picture Company" and "Bhandarkar Entertainment".

Jail is one of the most awaited movies of 2009 from the much-acclaimed director of Fashion, Madhur Bhandakar, who is always up to doing something unique.

The album has only four songs, but they are a perfect blend of melodious and fast-paced numbers.

"Sainya Ve"
The new music duo Sharib and Toshi gave made a simple yet so beautiful song Sainya Ve. Toshi has even sung this song and that too with utmost emotion. Great song overall.

"Milke Yun Lagaa"
We have heard this type of songs before from Sharib - Toshi way too many times. The genre is sufi specifically. An average song.

"Bareily Ke Bazzar Mein"
Not sure how many love this type of songs. Only for desi junta. Although music is nice.

"Daata Sun Le"
Wonderful lyrics and fabulous voice of Lata ji powers this song but music is plain crappy. Could have been lot better.

"Sainya Ve - Rock Version"
Rock version also features Neil Nitin Mukesh's voice. He has sung a part of this song, an average performance i must say, not too good. Lyrics remains same but music is different and equally good as the original.

"Bareily Ke Bazzar Mein - Remix"
You will hate this song. Cheap English lyrics used and then there is a background voice of person saying something in Rajasthani - 'pallo latke thaaro'. Terrible, they should have removed this song completely. My ears are crying.

"Sainya Ve - Remix"
Now they are beating their title song to pulp. This remix was not necessary.

"Daata Sun Le - Contemporary Remix"
Tabla and bells tries to brings some soul into this song along with chorus playback voices. One thing is for sure, this song will be used in morning school prayers and fullstop
